Disney Press Release April 10, 1995
BURBANK, Calif. -- April 10, 1995 -- Hold on to your seats -- CBS
presents a half-hour special, Indiana Jones and the Temple of the
Forbidden Eye, Wednesday, April 19, 8:30 p.m. (ET/PT).
Hosted by John Rhys-Davies and Karen Allen, both of whom starred in
the original Raiders of the Lost Ark, the special offers viewers a
sneak peek at Disneyland's newest thrill attraction Indiana Jones:
Temple of the Forbidden Eye, which officially opened on March 3, 1995.
The special is produced by ZM Productions in association with Walt
Disney Television.
Allen (Starman, Animal House) and Rhys-Davies (Victor, Victoria,
The Living Daylights) will guide the audience on a temple excavation
and witness Indy's latest archaeological find by following the "safe"
path marked by Jones' expedition team.
Explorers will discover surprises around every bend in this mysterious
world where, just like in the movies, escape is only temporary as they
traverse a shaking suspension bridge, suffer an avalanche of "creepy
crawlies" and face a gigantic rolling ball which threatens to flatten
them and their vehicle. The journey will be set apart by the fact that
the guests will never experience the same ride twice.
