Corvette
1959 Chevrolet Corvette
This was Eric "Otter" Stratton's car, which could be seen many nights parked at the Rainbow Motel on Old Mill Road. The current owner of this car says the Corvette is a 1959, is in excellent show condition and that he will sell or auction the car later this year (2007).

Lincoln
1964 Lincoln Continental
Flounder borrowed this car from his brother Fred Dorfman (ΔTX '59). Otter, Boon, Pinto and Flounder used this car on their road trip to Emily Dickinson College and the Dexter Lake Club. This model was not available until the fall of 1963, about a year after the time of the film (Fall 1962). This Lincoln is known for it's suicide doors — the back doors are hinged at the rear. The convertible model is famous for another reason: President Kennedy was riding in a 1961 Lincoln Continental convertible November 22, 1963, in Dallas.

Deathmobile
ΔTX Homecoming Parade Float
The Deathmobile cake float was built from the wreckage of Kent Dorfman's brother Fred's Lincoln Continental. Underneath is the Deathmobile. The phrase Eat Me was also "coughed" by Bluto and the Deltas during the courtroom scene.

The Deathmobile was built from the wreckage of Kent Dorfman's brother Fred's Lincoln Continental. Note the hood ornament — the head of Emil Faber from his campus statue.

Dodge
1962 Dodge Custom 880 Police
During the homecoming parade riot, D-Day rides off to obscurity in this Dodge police car. Popular for highway patrol work, where many miles were put in each day on freeways, the Dodge 880 Series police pursuit was powered by a 361 cubic inch V-8 with 310 bhp @4800 rpm and 435 lb-ft @2800 rpm.

Buick
1961 Buick Electra 225 Convertible
Dean and Marion Wormer along with Mayor Carmine DePasto and his wife arrived at the homecoming parade in this Buick. What's interesting about that is DePasto, who supplied the cars for the parade, owned an Oldsmobile dealership. After the riot, Bluto hijacks the Buick, grabs Mandy Pepperidge and drives off into the sunset.

MGA MGA
1960 MGA 1600 Roadster
This is the car that Greg Marmalard drove, parking with both Mandy Pepperidge and Babs Jensen. The MGA was a very successful model for MG, selling a total of 101,081 1500's, 1600's, 1600 Mk2's, Twin-Cams, and Coupes. No manufacturer had ever sold 100,000 sports cars.

Crosley Crosley

Crosley
1948 Crosley Sport Utility Sedan (Pickup)
In the scene where the Delta House is being cleaned out, Bluto starts kicking a small yellow Crosley. It is also the target of the empty Jack Daniels bottle that Belushi discards. Powel Crosley, Jr., a Midwestern businessman who brought us radios and refridgerators in the '20s and the '30s decided to build America's lowest-priced car in 1939. These 80"-wheelbase-mini-cars were even sold through appliance stores! In its peak model year of 1948, Crosley sold 31,570 vehicles (including 2,836 of these pickups), priced between $799 and $929, each powered by a 44 cubic-inch (0.721 liter) 4-cylinder engine making 26½ horsepower.

BelAir BelAir
1955 Chevy BelAir Sedan
This Chevy can be seen several times parked in front of the Delta House. There's no mention of who owns it. Behind Flounder are Stork (Doug Kenney) and Hardbar (Chris Miller). Doug and Chris, along with Harold Ramis, wrote the screenplay for the film. This car is currently owned by Carl Luhrmann. Ownership and locations of the other cars is unknown. If you know where any are, please contact me at the email address below.
